Morphologies of Tourism

How do we measure the impacts of tourism?

The transformation of tourism has made it necessary to constantly monitor these business activities so that we can respond and act should they have any harmful impacts on the city. Traditional statistical tools do not provide the speed or complexity required to monitor this transformation. Therefore, we explored the phenomenon through other dynamic data sources (social networks and rental platforms) to round off standard – and sometimes not very transparent – statistics. The resulting diagnosis was displayed in the FADFest’ 2017 design festival travelling exhibition and on an interactive website.
