The Regenera Madrid Plan establishes a comprehensive diagnostic system to identify, analyze, and prioritize areas of the city with the greatest need for intervention. Based on a methodology grounded in open and replicable data, a detailed assessment was developed, evaluating both the physical conditions of the urban environment and the socioeconomic situation of the population. The result is an objective tool that enables the measurement of urban quality and supports public decision-making based on principles of equity and efficiency.
Beyond diagnosis, the project translates these findings into an operational strategy, defining intervention priorities and a structured set of action lines. Through composite indicators and a city-scale comparative analysis, it identifies the areas most in need of regeneration and proposes more than one hundred concrete actions, ranging from public space and housing to mobility, sustainability, and social cohesion. Taken together, the system not only facilitates a deeper understanding of the city but also enables more informed, integrated, and strategic action.
