Participation at the AI & Cities Panel within the Smart City Expo digital platform.

The digital content platform Tomorrow City (created by Smart City Expo World Congress) has promoted focus sessions will draw out key approaches on how local authorities, from a specific territorial vision, can start improving connectivity and digital policies in an inclusive manner and on a small scale, with the goal to be replicated on a bigger scale.

We have participated in the panel of experts AI & Cities (part of the Focus #1 Local actions tackling global challenges) curated by Esteve García Almirall (ESADE), together with Daniel Marco (Director of Innovation & Digital Economy of the Catalan Government), Roope Ritvos (Helsinki) and Barcelona City Council representatives. We have presented an example of a digital twin in the city of Barcelona (Mercè by 300.000 Km/s).

I Data Journalism and Open Data Conference

Presenting nocturnal landscapes cartographies in the first data journalism and open data conference held in Barcelona.

Data Journalism is a discipline that all the main international news media have incorporated in recent years, offering readers visualisations and treatment of data in order to explain the news in a clear and comprehensible way. This will be the first conference focusing on this subject to be held in Spain. Between 24 and 26 May 2013 the CCCB, the Blanquerna Faculty of Communication Studies and Medialab Prado will host a wide-ranging programme of activities.

The CCCB will host the keynote sessions and the Barcamp meeting on Friday 24 May.
