We have participated in the Madrid Metropolitan Forest contest within the team led by Mauro Gil-Fournier.
The project seeks:
Generate forest logistics: transform mono-functional infrastructures into corridors that are capable of generating clean water, producing living soils and growing connected roots.
Make existing places more accessible to allow care in them: remove fences, make accessible paths, connect everything.
Trees enable people to forge links with the forest. We plant adult trees that offer shade and shelter accompanied by a constellation of environmental equipment in a process of ecological succession.
From here, a lasting and self-sustained affective bond is built between infrastructures, the city, people and trees. The forest is the virtuous collaboration of everything.
