Diagnosis of Barcelona’s Urban Model

In this project, we created the information layers required to rethink Barcelona’s new urban model, as the implications of this internationally celebrated urban paradigm are being questioned and must be reevaluated and projected into the future. To do so, we developed a critical diagnosis using maps. Through the exploration of municipal data sources and other big data, this diagnosis is designed to direct the city’s story in coming years based on urgent issues, such as housing accessibility and quality, the impact of tourism, the mobility transformation and green infrastructure related to health and the climate crisis.
