The Government of Cantabria is drafting a Regional Land Management Plan that incorporates new guidelines resulting from the climate emergency context, biodiversity crisis and the population and economic dynamics of the region.
Under the direction of Landlab, 300,000 km/s has developed the diagnosis and cartographic evidence. The analysis focuses from the territorial dimension on key aspects such as population ageing, depopulation, the need for urban rehabilitation and regeneration, accessibility to services, or economic activities.
The proposal advances towards a dynamic planning model with a special interest in territorial rebalancing and adaptation to climate change, compatible with the economic development of the various habitats defined by the plan.
